What we thought would be a small, simple ribbon-cutting turned into one of the most memorable days we’ve had at Fuel Logic.
Around noon, a welcoming committee of four or five ambassadors from the Midlothian Chamber of Commerce trickled in. A few minutes later, three or four local business owners joined them… then about ten more… and then another dozen after that.
Before we knew it, our office was packed wall-to-wall with the Midlothian business community—shaking hands, sharing stories, grabbing hors d’oeuvres, and genuinely getting to know one another.
After a bit of time, things were starting to get more official. A live YouTube video setup appeared, an MC with a microphone stepped in, and out came the massive Midlothian Chamber sign and, of course, the giant ceremonial scissors.
We had several business owners touring the building and asked questions about what Fuel Logic is doing here in Midlothian. We met with some fantastic locals and were able to share how our service works from our HQ!
Then the ceremony kicked off, livestreamed on the Chamber’s Facebook, YouTube, and their website. The MC introduced Eliot, the Fuel Logic team, and even some of the family—and we wrapped up the moment the only way you can at an event like this: by cutting the big red ribbon with those giant scissors.
After the cheers and photos, everyone headed out to lunch together, turning the whole event into an impromptu community outing.
All in all, it was a huge welcome from Midlothian—and we couldn’t be more grateful. We’re happy to have had the opportunity to meet such a great community and we look forward to providing our service to them and the many other great communities across the U.S.
