FAQs
Frequently asked questions.
A collection of our top questions to show you just how easy it is to go Fuel Logic!
What types of fuel does Fuel Logic offer?
We deliver on-road diesel, gasoline, and off-road diesel (also known as dyed or farm diesel) with coast-to-coast availability. Modern diesels require diesel exhaust fluid or DEF. We provide a wide range of DEF solutions, including delivery directly into your tank, pallets of jugs, 55-gallon drums, and bulk fuel totes across our multi-site nationwide coverage network.
What is off-road (dyed) diesel, and who can use it?
Off-road diesel, also called dyed diesel or farm diesel, is a red-dyed fuel that is tax-exempt because it is not intended for highway use. It is chemically the same as on-road diesel but carries a lower cost per gallon.
Eligible users typically include construction equipment, generators, agricultural machinery, and any non-road-registered vehicles. Using dyed diesel in on-road vehicles is a federal violation. Our team can help you determine which fuel category applies to your equipment.
Do you deliver gasoline, or only diesel?
Yes, we deliver both gasoline and diesel. Whether your fleet runs on gas-powered vans, diesel trucks, or a mix of both, Fuel Logic can accommodate your needs in a single delivery program. Fuel type availability may vary by city.
What are your hours of operation?
Fuel Logic’s bulk fuel delivery routes operate 24/7/365 days per year. Our agents are on-call 24hrs a day to assist in emergency situations. We schedule our deliveries around your schedule. All we need to know is when your first truck goes out and when your last truck returns. Our back-office hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST.
How quickly can I get my first delivery after signing up?
We can arrange a first delivery within 24-48 hours of account setup, depending on your location and fuel volume. For same-day or emergency delivery needs, contact us directly at 866-311-3571. We operate emergency fueling services and will do our best to accommodate urgent requests.
Can I choose what time of day my fuel is delivered?
Yes. We schedule deliveries around your schedule, not ours. The most common approach for fleet fueling is an overnight delivery window. Our drivers arrive after your last truck returns and complete fueling before your first truck goes out in the morning, so your vehicles are always topped off at the start of each shift.
If your operation requires deliveries at a specific time of day, just let us know and we’ll work to accommodate it.
Do you offer emergency or same-day fuel delivery?
Yes. Fuel Logic provides emergency fuel delivery services 24/7/365. Whether a generator has unexpectedly run low, a storm has disrupted your normal supply, or your fleet is unexpectedly short on fuel, our on-call agents can dispatch a driver as quickly as possible.
For emergencies, call us directly at 866-311-3571 rather than using the online order form to get the fastest response.
Where do you deliver fuel?
We operate a nationwide diesel fuel services network and can facilitate deliveries almost anywhere in the 48 contiguous states. If you need fuel, we can get it to you. See our locations here!
Can you deliver to multiple sites across different states?
Absolutely. Multi-site, multi-state programs are one of our specialties. We act as your “outsourced” fuel manager coordinating schedules, pricing, and reporting across all locations so you have a single point of contact instead of juggling local fuel vendors in every city.
We tailor delivery schedules and procurement strategies to the unique logistics of each site while giving you consolidated billing and reporting across your entire footprint.
Do you service remote job sites or locations without on-site fuel infrastructure?
Yes. Our on-site and direct-to-equipment delivery services are specifically designed for locations that don’t have their own fuel tanks or pump stations. We bring the fuel directly to your vehicles, generators, or equipment wherever they’re parked — construction sites, event venues, remote yards, and beyond.
In many markets we have access to smaller, pickup-sized fuel trucks that can navigate tight spaces such as parking garages and indoor event venues.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
Minimum order quantities can vary by market and fuel type. As a general guideline, most fuel delivery programs work best at 200 gallons or more per delivery, which allows us to price competitively. However, we encourage you to contact us with your specific volume so we can confirm whether we can serve you cost-effectively in your area.
For DEF, we offer flexible delivery formats — from 2.5-gallon jugs (no minimum case requirement for shipped orders) up to bulk tote and tank deliveries for higher-volume customers.
Can you save me money?
Fuel Logic’s diesel fuel delivery services will likely save you money. We base our pricing on wholesale fuel prices, not retail. We will also work with you to help you understand your “true cost of fuel.”
Fueling your fleet can be costly when you factor in labor, theft, travel to the station, accidents at the station, and asset downtime. Fuel Logic has developed advanced calculator that will use your unique data to show you how much self-fueling costs you as opposed to our diesel fuel delivery.
How do I pay?
We accept all major credit cards, fleet cards, and ACH payments. You can contact us here if you have any questions!
What does Fuel Logic do?
Fuel Logic is a full-service fuel management company. We deliver on-road diesel, off-road dyed diesel, gasoline, and diesel exhaust fluid to fleets, bulk tanks, reefer trailers, and other machinery nationwide.
We also work with companies to design the right bulk fuel delivery and procurement strategies that maximize labor efficiency and savings across their locations nationwide. No two geographic areas are the same. Systems must be unique and tailored to meet the specific challenges at each site. We’re involved all along the way as your “outsourced” fuel manager.
How do I know the quantity is right?
Our trucks all have approved Weights and Measures pumps, just like your typical fuel station. We regularly calibrate our pumps to ensure you get the correct quantity every time. Most trucks also have technology that digitally captures the amount pumped into individual trucks with GPS tracking.
Is a long-term contract required to use Fuel Logic?
No long-term contract is required. Fuel Logic offers flexible, no-contract fuel delivery. You can use our services for a single delivery, a short-term project, or an ongoing scheduled program. We believe our service quality and pricing speak for themselves, so we don’t lock customers into commitments.
Many customers choose to set up recurring delivery schedules because of the convenience and cost consistency it provides.
Can deliveries be scheduled ongoing?
Yes, we will work with you to provide fuel on a schedule as long as you need it. With our multi-site nationwide coverage, we can even deliver fuel multiple times per day if needed. Whether you need diesel fuel once, short-term, or long-term, we’ll design a schedule that works for you.
Can I request a one-time or occasional delivery without a recurring commitment?
Absolutely. Whether you need fuel once for a special event, a construction project with a defined end date, or just want to try the service before committing to a schedule — we accommodate one-off and short-run deliveries. Simply place an order online or call us to get started.
Do you service my industry?
With our many years of experience in the fuel delivery business, we’ve fueled thousands of companies across the United States. We fill fleets of trucks/vans and daily, and during weather emergencies, we’re on-site filling backup generators. If you need bulk fueling, we offer that too. We even fill trains! Give us a call today to see if we can help you.
What is wet hosing or direct to equipment?
Wet hosing (also called direct to equipment) is a method by which your fuel company delivers the desired fuel directly into your fuel tank while your truck sits. Wet hosing eliminates the need to send your employees to the fuel station. If your fleet regularly parks at the same place, this can be a great solution. Advantages include reduced labor costs, reduced theft, wholesale fuel prices, increased productivity, and reduced wear and tear. Keep that asset on the road longer with wet hosing.
Do you have smaller trucks for tight areas?
** Fuel types and delivery methods may vary from city to city as we operate a nationwide network.
Yes, in many markets, we have access to smaller pickup-sized fuel delivery trucks and larger traditional bobtail fuel delivery trucks. These vehicles are necessary for generators in parking garages, event venues where space is limited, etc.
Do you deliver diesel to generators?
Yes, Fuel Logic delivers diesel for generators. We specialize in 24/7 generator fuel delivery services, providing diesel, gasoline, and DEF directly to generators. Whether you’re ensuring backup power during an emergency or maintaining regular generator operations, our reliable service helps keep your operations running smoothly.
DEF Delivery Services FAQs
Frequently asked questions about DEF Diesel Exhaust Fluid
Answers to the top DEF questions to make ordering easy with Fuel Logic.
What is DEF?
Diesel exhaust fluid is a reactant that is necessary for the SCR system to function. It is a carefully blended aqueous urea solution made of 32.5% high-purity urea and 67.5% deionized water.
How far can I go on 1 gallon of DEF?
You can go approximately 800 miles on 1 gallon of diesel exhaust fluid.
What year vehicles are equipped with DEF?
Most diesel vehicles from 2010 onward are equipped with DEF systems. This change began after the 2010 diesel emissions regulations, which required manufacturers to reduce harmful exhaust emissions using technologies like Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR). Because of these standards, trucks, buses, pickups, and heavy-duty equipment built after 2010 typically require Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) to operate properly and stay compliant.
What’s the best way to store DEF?
DEF needs to be stored out of the sunlight in temperatures between 40-80 degrees. When stored properly, DEF typically lasts up to two years. You can also store diesel exhaust fluid in a dedicated DEF tank.
